Our vision is a society where every human lives a life of dignity with basic amenities.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide shelter to all homeless people in Karnataka.
We believe in holistic health, focusing on the well-being of body, mind, and soul. Recognizing that each individual is unique in terms of strength, flexibility, and medical history, we organized a yoga camp under yoga and wellness program to address issues like back pain, knee pain, stress management, diabetes, and more.
We conducted the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan in Benakanahali village with the primary goal of raising awareness about the importance of sanitation, particularly in rural areas. The program aimed to educate the community on proper hygiene practices and the benefits of a clean environment.
Shelters for the Urban Homeless
Our organization addresses urban homelessness in Yadgir District through initiatives such as opening shelters for 2000 homeless individuals, conducting surveys, and collaborating with local bodies to establish more shelters. We facilitate housing schemes, enhance skills for better employment, provide loans for business growth, and offer legal aid. We focus on repatriation, placement of the elderly and sick in suitable homes, and raising funds for support. Our work also includes empowering community leaders, ensuring access to basic services, and helping individuals access entitlements like pensions, education, and housing. We began by surveying the homeless population and providing immediate shelter.
Senior citizen program
Our organization has been running the Matrudhama Old Age Home (Bridhashrama) in Shahapur Taluka, Yadgir District, for the past 10 years, providing care and support to senior citizens. We also focus on the development of differently-abled individuals, helping them realize their hopes, dreams, and ambitions. Through our senior citizen program, we offer the necessary support to those who need just a little extra help to lead fulfilling lives.
IEC program
Our society conducts Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) awareness programs in its operational areas, focusing on the MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act). Enacted in August 2005, this scheme aims to achieve the dual objectives of rural development and employment. Through IEC activities, we generate awareness to help people understand their rights under the Act, ensuring effective communication of essential information about the scheme.
Meeting with members of various district and state level govt and non gvt commitee
Our organization is actively involved in various committees and networks aimed at promoting social welfare and development. We are a member of FEVORD(K) Bangalore, the District NGO's Federation Yadgir, and the Campaign Against Child Trafficking in Yadgir. Additionally, we contribute to the District SUH Committee, the Manhole Scavenger Monitoring Committee, and the PMAY (Housing for All) District Monitoring Committee in Yadgir. We are also part of the Planning Department's implementation of the SDG's 2023 vision for the government of Karnataka. Through these memberships, we work collaboratively to address key issues and contribute to the betterment of the community.It is the small change that makes the biggest impact.
